On Metaphor, Relation, and the Resonant Murk
“you just have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves”
and also
“don’t love your life too much”
Mary Oliver, excerpts from Wild Geese and One or Two Things, 1986

Wreck City Rec Centre (2013)
Social engagement: venue and event space hosting games, meetings, and discussions
The Wreck City Rec Centre was a temporary space and activity centre built using materials salvaged from a pre-demolition site, and featuring drop-in activities, events, and collaborative games. The Rec Centre engaged politics surrounding large-scale demolition projects, the history of the imaginal neighbourhood, and the role of play in shared zones of living.
Wreck City was a community‐based art experiment transforming 9 houses, 3 garages, and a greenhouse scheduled for demolition into temporary art, installation, and performance spaces. Over 100,000 people of all walks and ages visited the site during its week-long run.
